Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch or 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
Make the Brownie Layer:
Melt the butter in a saucepan, remove from heat, and whisk in sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Add cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir until smooth and thick. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
Prepare the Cheesecake Layer:
In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until creamy and smooth. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the brownie layer.
Swirl & Bake:
Spoon the remaining brownie batter on top and swirl gently with a knife for a marbled effect. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the cheesecake is just set in the middle.
Cool & Add Caramel:
Allow the cheesecake to cool completely. Drizzle caramel sauce evenly over the top. Sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt or chopped nuts if desired.
Chill & Serve:
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing. Serve chilled and enjoy the layers of chocolate and caramel perfection!
