- Beat butter and sugar until fluffy; mix in the egg.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt; stir into the butter mixture. Add milk until dough is soft but not sticky.
- Roll into a ¼-inch thick rectangle.
- Spread melted butter; sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll tightly into a log, wrap, and chill 30–45 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice into ½-inch rounds.
- Bake 10–12 minutes until edges set.
- Whisk powdered sugar with milk and drizzle over warm cookies.

Chilling prevents spreading and keeps spirals neat.
Remove cookies before they brown heavily — they firm up as they cool.
