Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz pasta penne, spaghetti, or fettuccine
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can 14 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish optional

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 8–10 minutes.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and mix until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
  5. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss well. Add a little reserved pasta water if needed.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil and extra Parmesan before serving.

Notes

Use freshly grated Parmesan for best texture.
Add chili flakes for a spicy version.
You can add grilled chicken, shrimp, or mushrooms for extra protein.
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat gently.
