Method
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 8–10 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and mix until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
- Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss well. Add a little reserved pasta water if needed.
- Garnish with fresh basil and extra Parmesan before serving.
Notes
Use freshly grated Parmesan for best texture.
Add chili flakes for a spicy version.
You can add grilled chicken, shrimp, or mushrooms for extra protein.
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat gently.
