Method
- Add onions and garlic to the crockpot. Place chuck roast on top.
- Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, au jus mix, and onion soup mix.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4–5 hours.
- Shred beef and return to the broth.
- Butter and toast rolls. Fill with beef and top with cheese.
- Broil briefly until cheese melts.
- Serve with au jus from the crockpot for dipping.
Notes
Toast bread to prevent sogginess.
Skim fat from broth before serving.
Add mushrooms for extra flavor.
