French Dip Square

French Dip Squares are baked slider sandwiches filled with savory roast beef, melted cheese, and buttery rolls, served with rich au jus for dipping. A perfect comfort food recipe for parties, lazy dinners, and easy meals.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 slider rolls
  • 1 lb thinly sliced roast beef
  • 8 slices provolone or Swiss cheese
  • 1 medium onion sautéed or caramelized
  • ½ cup butter melted
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder or onion soup mix
  • 1 packet au jus mix
  • 2 cups beef broth for au jus

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice slider rolls horizontally and place bottoms in a greased baking dish.
  3. Layer half the cheese, roast beef, onions, and remaining cheese.
  4. Add top rolls.
  5. Mix butter, Worcestershire, garlic powder, and onion seasoning.
  6. Brush mixture over rolls.
  7. Cover with foil and bake 15 minutes.
  8. Uncover and bake another 5 minutes until golden.
  9. Prepare au jus according to package instructions.
  10. Slice into squares and serve warm with au jus.
