Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil or olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 6 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon chili paste or sriracha optional for spice
  • 2 cups baby spinach or bok choy
  • 2 cups shredded carrots or sliced cabbage
  • 1 12–16 oz package frozen potstickers (chicken, pork, or vegetable)
  • 2 green onions sliced (for garnish)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds optional garnish

Method
 

  1. Sauté Aromatics:
  2. Heat sesame oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add garlic, ginger, and onion. Cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant and softened.
  3. Add Broth and Seasonings:
  4. Pour in chicken or vegetable broth. Stir in soy sauce, rice vinegar, and chili paste. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Add Vegetables:
  6. Stir in carrots and spinach (or bok choy). Simmer for about 5 minutes until vegetables are tender.
  7. Cook Potstickers:
  8. Carefully drop frozen potstickers into the simmering soup. Cook for 6–8 minutes or until they’re fully heated and soft.
  9. Serve:
  10. Ladle soup into bowls. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot and enjoy!
