Tiramisu Cookies

Soft, chewy, and infused with espresso and mascarpone, these Tiramisu Cookies capture the flavor of Italy’s classic dessert in an easy-to-make baked treat. Perfect for sweet dishes recipes, fun baking recipes, and food videos desserts alike!

Ingredients
  

  • Cookies:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon instant espresso powder
  • 2 tablespoons hot water
  • ½ cup mascarpone cheese or cream cheese substitute
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder for dusting
  • Glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon espresso cooled
  • 1 –2 tablespoons milk

Method
 

  1. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Dissolve Espresso: Mix espresso powder and hot water until dissolved.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add Wet Ingredients: Mix in egg, vanilla extract, and mascarpone cheese.
  5. Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Slowly add to the wet mixture.
  6. Add Espresso Mixture: Pour in dissolved espresso and mix until the dough is smooth and slightly sticky.
  7. Shape & Bake: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto a baking sheet. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until edges are golden.
  8. Cool & Glaze: Let cookies cool, then drizzle with glaze and dust with cocoa powder for a tiramisu finish.

Notes

  • For stronger coffee flavor, add ½ teaspoon more espresso powder or a splash of coffee liqueur.
  • To make gluten-free tiramisu cookies, use a 1:1 gluten-free flour blend.
  • Don’t overbake — they should remain soft and chewy inside.
